My name is Eratosthenes. I am a photographer, and a psychologist (and a poet). Each informs the other. When I shoot portraits, I often ask clients to tell me their hopes, dreams, loves, passions, because those things show up on their face. Just as I would in therapy, as a photographer I become a real person in relationship, not a detached outside observer. I go for a walk with clients, I spend the afternoon with them while they play with their baby in their living room, and the result, I think, is incredible pictures.
